Superstitions are amusing

This one is gonna be pretty amusing. Just random experienced talks!!

We the Indians blindly believe in some weird superstitions which are completely illogical and lame. In our country three- fourth the population literally bloom on unjustified superstitions. Even we refuse to question their tenability and continue to live in 'ANDHVISHWAAS' (blind faith).

Have you ever heard that crow's shit is actually good for you. Such are the superstitions we Indian believe in, BLINDLY. Does it even make sense? It's humorous af.

First comes my favorite "TEEN TIGAADA KAAM BIGAADA". According to this phrase anything that collectively makes three is considered as bad omen. If talking about my personal life, I am a member of a family of 3. Me and my parents. Since childhood I have been one idiot out of 3 Idiots i.e., MIMORABH. We have always been 3 together. I don't know if we have had been bad omen to others or not but for us this TEEN TIGADA has always been KAAM SAWARA.

Then comes eye twitching. Some common causes of eye twitching might include muscle twitch, fatigue, prolonged screen time or sleep deprivation. But according to some Indian superstitions it is believed that if your right eye twitches then something very bad is going to happen to you and if your left eye twitches then something fantabulous is going to happen in your life.

Talking about third one now. If we put a small spot of Kajal behind the ear then it has Supernatural powers to save us from BURI NAZAR  (evil eye). Bro, in India we never fall sick. HUMAIN TOH BSS BURI NAZAR LAG JAATI HAI.

Sweeping floor at night can drive away Lordess Lakshmi away from your house. In early 19th century this superstition made sense when electric bulbs and tubes were not invented. At that time if they might sweep floors at night then if any valuable jewel that might have fallen could have been cleaned along with the trash. But still this superstition was spoken out loudly. In today's world this superstition makes no sense.

It is believed that if a black cat crosses your path then you should let someone else pass before you or lord Shani will get upset with you. And if you will let the other person pass first then that person will have all the bad luck and you won't. Even in some Western cultures, black cat have typically been looked upon as a symbol of evil omen. Specifically being suspected to belong to the family of witches or even considered the shape- shifted witches themselves. I mean why only black cats? Why not white cats? Like racism prevails in cats as well? Haahaha.

Another humorous superstition is that if you trim your nails after dark then you are inviting evil spirit inside your house. The reason of not cutting your nails at night was the fact that there was no electricity in those days and hence it was difficult to see which increased one's chances of cutting their nail bed or finger with the tool they used to cut nails.

This one superstition which I am going to talk about now is the one which I have experienced in my own house. THE NEEMBOO MIRCHI SUPERSTITION. When my dad bought land in outskirts of patiala and we went to see it for the very first time some elderly member of our family tied nimbu mirchi (lemon and chilies) on the external pole and said that it will protect the land from evil eye and evil spirit. At that time I was really very young. When we were returning, I asked my dad if it was true. My dad started laughing and said that there is no logic behind it but as we have to respect our elders so we have to show as if we believe in it.

If you see slippers upside down then simply turn it over otherwise you are going to have a huge fight with someone. Okay, so if I will want my friends to fight I will put slippers upside down and will make them look at it. And then they will have a fight. I will bring myself popcorns with some cold drink and will watch them fight as it's definitely not gonna be anything less than a fun movie. Fantabulous!! I am definitely gonna try this one. LOL!!

We have a lot more superstitious believes which are blindly believed by the people of India. Not just India, this pandemic is spread worldwide since several years. Superstitions offer a way to feel more in control, the same way they do now. That's why highly educated, sophisticated people still believe in certain superstitions. Most superstitions are amusing and harmless, whether you sincerely believe in them or not. And believing in them or not is a complete individual's choice. No one can force you to believe in it or not to. But yea, do ask yourself a question, " ISN'T IT A WRONG NUMBER?"~ (PK from movie PK) before believing in it.
